Ele Paju has graduated from Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary and the University of Tallinn, where she studied early childhood pedagogy. Ele started serving as a pastor in 1998, first as an acting pastor in Võru Methodist Church, then as a pastor in Viitka Methodist Church and since 2010 as a pastor in Räpina Methodist Church. Ele is married with Tanel and they have two sons. Ele is a member of EMC Church Government and she is leading youth work of Estonian Methodist Church. Together with a team of six members, she is leading a hobby school for preschool children. Ele likes to play musical instruments, watch ballgames and through playing, teach children to read.
