The Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary is a state-accredited private institution of applied higher education. The emphasis of the higher theological education provided by the Seminary is on practical theology and Bible study. It is possible to study in the Estonian language, and via simultaneous translation also in Russian and English.

The aim of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary is to equip Christians with a ba­lanced theological education to help them implement their talents and knowledge effi­ ciently in the church and to find adequate solutions for the needs of the present-day church and society.

The Seminary was founded in 1994. The graduates of the Seminary work as pastors, chaplains, teachers of religious education in public schools and as professionals in various fields of Christian ministry (missions, children and youth work, diaconial ministry, soul care, counseling etc.).

The student body of the Seminary is represented by different denominations and nationalities. Besides resident faculty there are also guest lecturers from other higher educational institutions, including institutions in foreign countries. In addition to academic subjects the curriculum also includes a practical ministry course titled supervised ministry. Besides higher education, the Seminary also offers a one year programme in practical theology.
