Tõnu Kuusemaa has been involved in church work soon after his conversion to Christianity. He was ordained as a deacon in 1985 and since 1988, Tõnu has fulfilled the tasks of a pastor in Pärnu Methodist Church. Tõnu was studying mathematics in the University of Tartu, but because of Tõnu’s active involvement in church work, his studies were interrupted by KGB (The Committee for State Security). Before he became a pastor, he worked for six years at different schools as a mathematics teacher. Mathematics is his hobby still today. Tõnu Kuusemaa has receiced two-years training at Estonian Free Church Theological Seminary. Tõnu is married with Külli, who is an active contributer to the church work.
